This is a photo of the partial solar eclipse we witnessed on the 10/05. This photo was taken with a special camera that could capture our amazing sun.

Solar eclipse

Last Friday, Melbourne experienced a partial solar eclipse. Parents from our grades came to the school early in the morning to set up different telescopes and cameras to help the grade 5 children and AGPS witness this amazing eclipse. The students wore special glasses that enabled them to look directly at the sun without damaging their eyes. As we have begun our investigations into our solar system, this was a fantastic hands on experience.

Pyjama day

Pyjama day was last Friday. The grade 6 Marine Ambassadors organised this day to raise money for the Dolphin Research Institute.

Cross Country

Students did a terrific job participating in Cross Country today. We had many grade 5's score a spot in the district carnival taking place in a couple of weeks.
